it's not like it's been 4 months i support this project financially just for 2 characters to be added each months, but since yall need to gaze it as if it was an awesome piece of work (60 days and still nothing on the horizon, how awesome this beta is !)
i am spending money to support the game, so thanks but actually i would like to feel a bit understood by this part-time game developer so they would actually use the little time span they've got to actually implement something useful. I've got a life too and other means to spend money, but if i haven't got even one single message even read since the release, please allow me to point it out on the itch.io page, okay ? I don't even know why you're taking part, thanks for the commonplace excuses but i already know that, i was just expecting at least some consideration from this lazy developer
Please, at the very least be grateful that this project exists in the first place. If you truly supported the creator, you wouldn’t be directing so much anger at her. Developing a video game is a long and tedious process — it takes several months, even years to complete. On top of that, she has a life outside of this and she’s developing the game entirely on her own. I also support her financially and I have no regrets at all. You just need to be patient and kind
Moreover... the "beta" was supposed to be released with features that were canceled like a week ago (investigations for instance, a QUITE BIG piece ngl), and over almost 3 months, the only new thing we got is Adrian Andrews and Larry Butz as characters.
Got any evvidence to back up that claim of investigations being cancelled? that's a pretty big claim and after looking into it for a few hours now, nothing came up.
https://gamtam.itch.io/aatc/devlog/854119/almost-christmas-2024-progress-update you're welcome, it was supposed to be ready on the first launch (which was told on kofi) but nooo, lets just be lazy. Try not to be condescending next time, im not claiming erroneous thing, although i don't know where you made your research
'I'm not claiming erroneous thing' to quote miles edgeworth in the first investigations game: I think the proper phrase you're looking for is "You fail".
That actually is one the things i managed to find in my research, however one thing stuck out to me like a sore thumb: nowhere in that does it say those are cancelled.
it DOES however say that they were being cut from the launch. due to real life stuff not letting them work on it as much combined with the lofty scale of turnabout creator making it impossible to implement everything on release as wanted and promised.
to quote the page you linked:
'That, in combination with my already lofty goals content-wise has led to a couple things not making it into the initial release.
The things being cut are the following:
All characters not from AA1 (with the exception of a couple that are already finished)
Any UI style other than the PW:AAT and AJ:AAT ones
Investigations"
Gametam even mentions later in the thing that investigations ARE working properly gameplay wise, it's just the editor itself and the editor's uni tat need work and even mention that they should drop in a future update, again to quote the post you linked: "Even though investigations are fully functioning from a gameplay perspective, it's a different story on the editor side of things. Because of all the variability that comes with each investigation screen, it's proving difficult to find a way to make a clear UI for it. I think I've found a way to go about it though, so hopefully it won't be long until it makes it in?"
That post doesn't confirm you were right, it in fact shows you have no idea what you're talking about and jumped to conclusions instead of actually reading the post alongside ignoring the fact that gametam has alot on their plate and is aware that they weren't able to implement them right away and lying to support your own personal agenda.
Is there a way people can help with the development of the game? Whether it be via beta testing, helping develop the game, providing ideas or other similar forms of help?
I think it'd be incredibly helpful to add customizable case states--so we can do things like "Do you want to add that statement to this witness' testimony?" far easier (as right now, we'd have to manually copy and repeat nodes in order to do that).
Even a "Set State" node that sets one of these states and a "Read State" node that routes to other nodes based on the selected state would be very helpful.
If you click on the "courtroom" background, you can move the sliders underneath to where you need it to be. Left is defense bench, centre is witness stand, right is prosecution bench. If you want it to pan, then have the S dot where you want it to start, and the E dot where you want it to end.
Probably late, but the sliders have 2 parts called "S" (start) and "E" (end). If you want to pan, you have to make sure the S is wherever you're currently at (0 for left, 50 for witness, and 100 for right). After that, make sure the E is where you need it to be. I found it a bit confusing at first, but I got it now.
I've been slowly going through this lovely case maker and mostly building examples for myself along with notes as to what features do what things. I have hit something that I'm not quite sure what it does. Either I'm missing something or perhaps it's a bug/not implemented yet.
So, with the side bar menu, the case settings allow you to change from Three Line Mode to Two Line Mode. That works fine, I can visually see what this adjusts. Now, there is an option in the sequence editor, just under the text boxes to check a box for "Two Line Mode." I've checked this box, but haven't seen any visual changes. My assumptions are that it would change the dialogue box for that one frame to Two Line Mode. However I don't notice any visual changes.
Are you going to add a case browser where you can upload your own cases to it and people can play them from there? I'd like there to be a better way to play other's cases besides downloading the case data, which not everyone leaves links to btw
That would be amazing. Please, GamTam, make a website where we can share our cases. I love making cases about what I learn in math class, and I would like to be able to share them with my math teacher without her having to download AATC.

Gamtam isn't a fulltime game developer, they're a human being with a life just like you and me. And as the other person pointed out it's still a beta.

but what do i know right?
Will it support Cyrillic alphabet?
Like it can but he do it really strange

no, it would hurt her ego
I think it'd be incredibly helpful to add customizable case states--so we can do things like "Do you want to add that statement to this witness' testimony?" far easier (as right now, we'd have to manually copy and repeat nodes in order to do that).

Just had the thought of states having multiple possible values, while flags can be used for true or false conditions.
Either way, some player-controlled control logic would be nice.
I just noticed Larry is missing. Justice for Larry 🫡
no. JUSTICE FOR HERLOCK SHOLMES!
Edit:Larry's cool, too. GamTam, add Larry in 0.1.4, please!
hope she will do it next month, since we get like 1 update per month
guys the new version isn't booting up can anyone help?
* I can't use spaces in the evidence interface.
Do you need any beta testers?
I cannot for the life of me figure out how to switch between the different courtroom perspectives (defense bench, prosecution bench and witness stand)
If you click on the "courtroom" background, you can move the sliders underneath to where you need it to be. Left is defense bench, centre is witness stand, right is prosecution bench. If you want it to pan, then have the S dot where you want it to start, and the E dot where you want it to end.
The sliders seem stuck. I can't move them
Probably late, but the sliders have 2 parts called "S" (start) and "E" (end). Hey, GamTam, when will AAI stuff be added?
